Rodriguez enters the cage on the strength of a two-fight winning streak. The decorated muay Thai practitioner last competed at UFC on ESPN 24, where she outpointed former Invicta Fighting Championships titleholder Michelle Waterson in their May 8 main event. Dern, meanwhile, has rattled off four consecutive victories. The 2015 Abu Dhabi Combat Club Submission Wrestling World Championships gold medalist last appeared on April 10, when she submitted Nina Nunes with an armbar in their UFC on ABC 2 showcase.

As Rodriguez and Dern make their final preparations, a look at some of the numbers that have accompanied them to this point:

34: Years of age for Rodriguez, who was born on April 29, 1987 in Bage, Brazil.

6: Rodriguez wins by knockout or technical knockout, accounting for 43% of her career total (14). Her list of victims: Amanda Ribas, Maria de Oliveira Neta, Paula Vieira da Silva, Marcia Oliveira, Caroline Silva and Silvania Monteiro. Rodriguez owns one other win by submission—she tapped Vanessa Guimaraes with a second-round triangle choke at an Aspera Fighting Championship event in 2016—and seven more by decision.

2: Stalemates on the Rodriguez ledger. She fought to majority draws with Randa Markos and Cynthia Calvillo at UFC Fight Night 137 and UFC on ESPN 7.

0.37: Knockdowns landed per 15 minutes of UFC action for Rodriguez, putting her third on the organization’s all-time list for women’s strawweights. Only Hannah Cifers (0.54) and Rose Namajunas (0.37) have floored their opponents at a higher rate.

125: Significant strikes landed by Rodriguez against Waterson, establishing a new personal benchmark for the Brazilian. She had eclipsed the century mark on one other occasion, connecting with 118 such strikes in a unanimous decision over Jessica Aguilar at UFC on ESPN 2 in March 2019.

28: Years of age for Dern, who was born in Phoenix on March 24, 1993.

7: Dern victories by submission, accounting for 64% of her career total (11). Her methods of choice: three armbars, three rear-naked chokes and one kneebar. Dern owns four other victories by decision.

2.37: Submission attempts per 15 minutes of UFC competition for Dern, placing her second on the promotion’s all-time list at 115 pounds. She trails only Polyana Viana (3.46) in the category.

35: Total strikes by which Dern has outlanded the opposition—Nunes, Markos, Cifers and Virna Jandiroba—during her current four-fight winning streak. She has connected on 148 strikes in those bouts while absorbing only 103 in return.

6: First-round finishes on the Dern resume. In addition to her aforementioned rout of Nunes, she submitted Montana De La Rosa with a rear-naked choke 3:25 into their Legacy Fighting Championship 61 pairing on Oct. 14, 2016, dismissed Mandy Polk with a rear-naked choke 2:55 into their Legacy Fighting Alliance 24 encounter on Oct. 13, 2017, put away Amanda Bobby Brundage with a rear-naked choke 2:27 into their UFC 244 clash on May 12, 2018, dispatched Cifers with a kneebar 2:36 into their UFC on ESPN 9 confrontation on May 30, 2020 and disposed of Markos with an armbar 3:44 into their UFC Fight Night 178 battle on Sept. 19, 2020.
