By The Numbers: Joseph Lasiri vs. Prajanchai PK Saenchai

Interim One Championship strawweight muay thai titleholder Prajanchai PK Saenchai seeks redemption—and revenge.

The 5-foot-5 dynamo will look to unify the organization’s 125-pound crown when he rematches incumbent champion Joseph Lasiri in the ONE Friday Fights 46 co-main event this Friday at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Saenchai has rattled off three straight victories since he lost to Lasiri in their first meeting some 19 months ago. He last fought at ONE Friday Fights 34, where he outpointed Akram Hamidi to a unanimous decision on Sept. 22. Lasiri, meanwhile, has won two of his last three fights. He last competed on Nov. 19, 2022, when he dropped a five-round unanimous verdict to Rodtang Jitmuangnon in a failed bid to capture the flyweight muay thai championship at ONE on Prime Video 4.

As Lasiri and Prajanchai approach their high-stakes rematch in Southeast Asia, a look at some of the numbers that have accompanied them to this point:

32: Years of age for Lasiri, who was born on July 19, 1991 in Monza, Italy—a city of roughly 125,000 people situated some 300 miles northwest of Rome.

.768: Career winning percentage for Lasiri in kickboxing and muay thai. He owns a professional record of 43-13.

581: Days spent by Lasiri as ONE strawweight muay thai champion. He laid claim to the title with a third-round technical knockout of Prajanchai at ONE 157 on May 20, 2022.

125: Seconds needed for Lasiri to put away Asahi Shinagawa with a straight right hand and follow-up knee strike at ONE “Winter Warriors 2” on Dec. 3, 2021. More than two years later, it remains his fastest finish in One Championship.

4: Consecutive defeats for Lasiri to start his One Championship run, making him one of the more unlikely titleholders in the company’s history. He lost to Sam-A Gaiyanghadao, Singtongnoi Por Telakun, Josh Tonna and Jonathan Haggerty in successive appearances between Jan. 26, 2018 and Jan. 19, 2019.

29: Years of age for Prajanchai, who was born in Bangkok, Thailand, on Oct. 16, 1994, a little more than two weeks before George Foreman upset Michael Moorer to become the oldest heavyweight champion in boxing history.

340: Professional victories for Prajanchai in kickboxing and muay thai. He holds a career winning percentage of .865 at 340-52-3.

3: Draws on the Prajanchai resume. He has fought to stalemates with Sprinter Pangkongprab in November 2019, Chorfah Tor Sangtiennoi in March 2015 and Anuwatlek Por Telakun in October 2009.

16: Rounds started by Prajanchai in One Championship. He has gone the distance on three occasions and carries a 3-0 record in those bouts.

2: Nationalities beaten by Prajanchai as a member of the ONE roster. He has beaten opponents from Thailand and Algeria.
