By The Numbers: Bubba Jenkins vs. Ryoji Kudo
Bubba Jenkins still has time to meet the great expectations that preceded his arrival on the mixed martial arts scene more than a decade ago.
The onetime NCAA wrestling champion will face Ryoji Kudo when their 2022 Professional Fighters League featherweight semifinal helps anchor PFL 9 this Saturday at Copperbox Arena in London. Jenkins enters the cage on the strength of seven wins in eight appearances. He nailed down the No. 3 seed in the tournament with back-to-back regular-season victories over Kyle Bochniak and Reinaldo Ekson. Kudo, meanwhile, built his name in his native Japan. He last competed at PFL 5, where he punched out Alejandro Flores Garcia a little less than three minutes into their June 24 encounter.
