By The Numbers: Brendan Allen vs. Bruno Silva
Brendan Allen still operates on the periphery of the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s middleweight elite, his hold on a Top 15 ranking as tenuous as ever.
The former Legacy Fighting Alliance champion will take up arms against Bruno Silva in a featured UFC on ABC 5 attraction this Saturday at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. Allen steps into the cage on the strength of a four-fight winning streak. He last appeared on Feb. 25, when he subdued Andre Muniz with a rear-naked choke in the third round of their UFC Fight Night 220 confrontation. Silva, meanwhile, has rattled off eight wins across his past 10 outings. He last competed at UFC Fight Night 222, where he brought down Brad Tavares with a knee strike and follow-up punch a little more than three minutes into their April 22 pairing.
