By The Numbers: Arman Tsarukyan vs. Joaquim Silva

Arman Tsarukyan’s climb toward the top of the Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight division brings him into contact with constant peril.

The surging 26-year-old contender will face American Top Team stablemate Joaquim Silva in the UFC on ESPN 47 co-headliner this Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Tsarukyan has rattled off six wins in seven outings and looks very much like a future title challenger at 155 pounds. He last competed at UFC Fight Night 216, where he took a unanimous decision from Damir Ismagulov in their three-round encounter on Dec. 17. Silva, meanwhile, has lost three of his past five bouts after starting his career 12-0. He last fought on Oct. 1, when he brought down Jesse Ronson with a knee strike and follow-up punches in the second round of their UFC Fight Night 211 pairing.
