By The Numbers: Alex Caceres vs. Sean Woodson

Longtime Ultimate Fighting Championship featherweight Alex Caceres will attempt to tip the scales in his favor when he takes on Sean Woodson as part of the UFC on ESPN 56 undercard this Saturday at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis.

Caceres seems keen on getting his name back in the win column after suffering a unanimous decision loss in his previous outing against Giga Chikadze in August. He had won seven of previous eight bouts, with two “Fight of the Night” bonuses. Meanwhile, Woodson, a Dana White’s Contender Series alum, has built a 5-1-1 record in the promotion and carries a five-fight undefeated streak into his latest assignment.

Ahead of the looming battle between Caceres and Woodson, a look at some of the statistical intricacies that exist between them:

11: Caceres is an Octagon veteran in every sense of the word, still going strong in his 14th year in the UFC. With 11 victories in the 145-pound weight class, he occupies the fourth spot for most featherweight wins in history.

7: Caceres has seven decision wins in the world’s premier MMA organization, the fourth-most in the featherweight division.

5: Caceres also occupies the 10th spot in the divisional ranks for most post-fight performance bonuses with five.

50: The Florida native presents a 50% striking accuracy in his fights—a formidable stat that highlights his offensive prowess.

63: Through 14 professional losses, Caceres has only lost one once via knockout, and his 63% striking defense rate proves that opponents find it quite difficult to land clean shots on him.

58: Much like Caceres, Woodson boasts a commendable striking defense at 58%.

62: Woodson exhibits a solid 62% takedown accuracy in his fights.

84: Woodson is very difficult to take down to the ground, harnessing an 84% takedown defense rate through all of his UFC fights.
