Pride: Bushido III Review
Akira Shoji vs. Tsuyoshi Tamakairiki

Akira Shoji vs. Tsuyoshi Tamakairiki
It only took a few seconds for Akira “Mr. Pride” Shoji to completely demolish former Sumo Tsuyoshi Tamakairiki. If you thought the Fujita vs. Sapp fight was the only professional mugging this weekend, you were wrong! Both fighters came out swinging, but Akira actually connected with his punches.
An overhand right followed by a big left hook dropped Tsuyoshi to the mat, where he would receive not one, but two soccer kicks to the head. The referee mercifully stepped in, giving Shoji the KO win at 0:18 of Round 1.
With Sentoryu making only a slightly better debut, I think it’s safe to say that Sumo Wrestlers should keep their diapers on and stay in the sport they came from.
