For a man who has been regarded as one of the top three pound-for-pound fighters in the world for the better part of six years, Aldo has maintained a surprisingly low profile. The UFC featherweight champion has a long established reputation as one of the sport’s most lethal strikers and has not lost a fight in nearly a decade. No one can question his achievements, but Aldo’s critics continue to bark about his lack of personality.
Aldo has seen his popularity grow of late, thanks to his burgeoning rivalry with nemesis Conor McGregor. The Irishman has taken aim at Aldo with his special brand of trash talk, and while he has taken the high road more often than not, the Brazilian has fired back on occasion. The two will meet to unify the featherweight crown at UFC 194 in December.
