5. Luke Rockhold


One of four fighters -- Frank Shamrock, Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate are the others -- to win championships in both Strikeforce and the UFC, Rockhold has been an elite middleweight for more than five years. Injuries and two notable in-cage hiccups against Vitor Belfort and Michael Bisping have kept the American Kickboxing Academy ace in check, but no one can deny the run of excellence the Santa Cruz, California, native has enjoyed. A five-round unanimous decision over Ronaldo Souza brought him Strikeforce gold in September 2011 and a fourth-round technical knockout of Chris Weidman netted him the Ultimate Fighting Championship title in December 2015. Rockhold also holds decisive victories against the aforementioned Bisping, Lyoto Machida, Tim Boetsch, Costas Philippou and Keith Jardine. The oft-injured 32-year-old has not fought since he surrendered the UFC middleweight championship to Bisping in a surprising upset at UFC 199 in June.
