Most mixed martial arts fans and journalists are well-versed in the exploits of Anderson Silva, who reigned as UFC middleweight champion for nearly seven years and became arguably the greatest fighter in MMA history. “Like Water,” a Pablo Croce-directed documentary released in 2012, chronicles the Brazilian’s storied career and gives rare insight into his home life with his wife and children, all while touching on his philosophies about fighting ahead of his showdown with Chael Sonnen at UFC 117. Silva defeated Sonnen in dramatic fashion, submitting the onetime NCAA All-American wrestler with a fifth-round triangle armbar before a crowd of 12,971 at Oracle Arena in Oakland, California.
