Brown has made a career out of his violent tendencies and a penchant for firefights, but he has also proven to be an opportunistic and aggressive submission practitioner. The Elevation Fight Team representative has tried 24 submissions in 23 outings in the UFC, better than one per fight -- a surprising stat when reviewing his battles with Robbie Lawler, Erick Silva and Jordan Mein. While his efforts have rarely resulted in finishes, Brown has recorded two tapouts inside the Octagon: He submitted Ryan Thomas with a second-round armbar at UFC 91 in 2008 and took care of former King of the Cage champion Tim Means with a guillotine choke at UFC 189 on July 11, 2015.
