6. Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs. Valentina Shevchenko


It has become clear that Jedrzejczyk has no equal at 115 pounds. The unbeaten UFC women’s strawweight champion has subdued Claudia Gadelha (twice), Karolina Kowalkiewicz, Valerie Letourneau, Jessica Penna, Carla Esparza and Juliana Lima since bursting on the scene three years ago. Jedrzejczyk last appeared at UFC 211, where the Polish powerhouse chewed up Jessica Andrade across five rounds en route to a lopsided unanimous decision. According to FightMetric, “Joanna Champion” has outpaced her opposition by an almost unimaginable 971-328 margin in significant strikes over her past six outings. While Shevchenko has cemented her position as the No. 1 contender for Amanda Nunes -- the two will meet for a second time at UFC 215 -- and the bantamweight throne, most see 125 pounds as her optimum weight. That could potentially clear the way for a possible showdown with Jedrzejczyk.
