6. Anderson Silva vs. Rich Franklin
UFC 64 “Unstoppable”
Oct. 14, 2006 | Las Vegas

Silva put beatings on Franklin both times they fought, but in their first encounter, “Ace” left without the middleweight title and instead went home with a badly broken nose.

The main event of UFC 64 was never close, as “The Spider” put on a muay Thai clinic by battering the body and head of Franklin with knees, leaving Las Vegas with the UFC’s middleweight crown -- a title Silva would hold for the better part of seven years. Franklin later described the break as “the most painful of all my injuries.” Following surgery to repair his nose, he went on to fight 12 more times under the Ultimate Fighting Championship banner.
