Mark Hunt vs. Chris Tuchscherer

The Matchup: Heavyweight sluggers provide the red meat on the menu, particularly at the lower levels, where conditioning, consistency and one-punch turnarounds are the rule rather than the exception.

Hunt’s better days are probably behind him. The former K-1 terror once brought huge power and the best chin in the game to the dance, even as he suffered from some serious grappling deficiencies. Tuchscherer is big, aggressive and somewhat limited as a heavyweight, but he does not lack for courage. Like Sean McCorkle did successfully against Hunt at UFC 119, Tuchscherer should look to get this one to the ground -- and fast -- before Hunt takes his head off.

The Pick: “The Crowbar” wins a rollicking fight, in which he eats a shot or three from Hunt and then rallies back for takedowns and ground-and-pound for a second-round TKO.
