• The UFC made official this week the Randy Couture vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira fight as the main event of UFC 102 on Aug. 29 in Portland, Oregon, the company's debut in the state. The card will also feature Keith Jardine vs. Thiago Silva and Nathan Marquardt vs. Demian Maia.

• A shoulder injury forced Jonathan Goulet to pull out of his fight with Dong Hyun Kim at UFC 100 on July 11. Kim will now reportedly face T.J. Grant, according to MMAWeekly.com.
• Tyson Griffin and Hermes Franca have agreed to fight at the yet-to-be-announced UFC 103 card in September, MMAWeekly.com reported.
• Affliction confirmed a Vitor Belfort-Jorge Santiago middleweight fight for the "Trilogy" pay-per-view event on Aug. 1. The promotion also announced the show’s undercard matches, which will be Akbarh Arreola vs. Brett Cooper, Ben Rothwell vs. Chase Gormley, Chris Horodecki vs. Dan Lauzon, Jessie Gibbs vs. Rob Broughton and Lucio Linhares vs. Giv Santana.
• Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto will return to the K-1 ring on July 13 in Tokyo, where he'll face Jae Hee Cheon. It's been four years since Yamamoto, one of Japan's biggest fight stars, has fought under K-1 rules. He made an unsuccessful return to MMA after a near two-year absence in May, when he dropped a decision to Joe Warren in the Dream featherweight grand prix tournament.
• MMA veteran Dennis Hallman had a last-minute opponent change for Friday’s “Strikeforce Challengers” undercard. Originally set to face Cedric Marks, Hallman will now meet Justin Davis at a 195-pound catch-weight. Marks was medically suspended due to a recent fight and was ineligible to compete.
