Alexander made a stunning first impression, as he knocked out Keith Jardine in violent fashion at UFC 71. It took just 48 seconds.

“The Assassin” entered his fight with Jardine as a 4-to-1 underdog and proved to the world that he packed a powerful punch that demanded respect. Jardine landed the first significant blow of the fight, a left that caught Alexander square, but that was all the meaningful offense “The Dean of Mean” could muster. The fight concluded with a series of strikes that had Jardine face down on the canvas.

Following his debut under the Zuffa banner, Alexander went on to drop four of his next five bouts. His time inside the Octagon concluded with a decision loss to Kevin Ferguson, aka “Kimbo Slice,” at “The Ultimate Fighter 10” Finale in December 2009. Now 42, Alexander continues to compete, recently touching down in the Bellator MMA organization.
