Hansen has competed exclusively on the Hawaiian circuit. The once-beaten 24-year-old suffered the first defeat of his career in September, when he submitted to a first-round triangle choke from Russell Doane at an X-1 World Events show in Honolulu. Hansen trains out of the same MMA Development camp that spawned “The Ultimate Fighter” alums Scott Junk and Brad Tavares.
