TUF Team USA Set
Team USA was finally rounded out on the latest episode of “The Ultimate Fighter,” as welterweight Frank Lester and lightweight Jason Dent won their fights and entry onto Dan Henderson’s squad. Lester, an Iraq War veteran, was declared the victor after his opponent, Kiel Reid, banged his head on the canvas while executing a takedown and knocked himself out. Lester cranked a kimura for several seconds after Reid was out in a scene that concerned Henderson. Dent, a veteran of the Ohio MMA circuit who lost to Gleison Tibau and Roger Huerta in his two UFC appearances, worked over Robert Browning with strikes to notch a TKO in the first round.
Though Browning was eliminated, the younger brother of last season’s firebrand, Junie Allen Browning, still left his mark. He threw eggs onto a basketball court where Team USA and Team UK were gathered and got into drunken shouting matches with several housemates. Following his loss, Browning told UFC President Dana White he was headed to 135-pound competition.
The episode notched a 0.9 share rating on Spike TV for 1.2 million viewers, according to MMAPayout.com. That’s down from a 1.1 rating the previous week.
