Greg Savage, reporter and radio host: Sorry Adam, but I have to disagree with you on one point. I think Dunham is going to have his way with Sherk.
That is not to say Sherk is done or irrelevant in the UFC lightweight division, it is more of a statement about how good I think Dunham is and how great he may become. If you can't already tell, I think he is going to be something special.
In looking at Dunham's last fight with Tyson Grffin, I think Dunham showed a style that will be extremely effective against a similar fighter. Add in a 17-month layoff due to a host of injuries and I think Sherk is up against it in this bout.
Again, I don't mean to diminish Sherk's brilliant career in anyway. I do agree some have forgotten this is one of the best 155 pounders of all time. His only losses since 2002 have been to lightweights B.J. Penn, Frankie Edgar and Georges St. Pierre and Matt Hughes at welterweight.
That said, look for Dunham to use his length, grappling advantage and youth to take home a career-elevating victory at UFC 119.
