Frank Trigg vs Dennis
Hallman
Frank Trigg took it to Dennis Hallman, scoring a technical knockout 4:15 of round one to win the rematch of their contested November 2002 WFA welterweight championship bout.
Hallman pawed at Trigg early, but never connected. Trigg pushed forward, flushing a straight right to Hallman's jaw that sent the action to the canvas. Hallman switched his hips, looking for any opening Trigg might offer. But openings only led to Trigg' punches aimed at Hallman's head.
The closest Hallman (51-9-2) came to catching Trigg (10-2-0) was via leg lock. But he never came close. Trigg smartly countered, and followed with strikes whenever there was space, of which there was plenty.
After a flurry of unanswered punches, referee Mario Yamasaki jumped in to prevent further punishment.
