Lightweights Fisher and Wiman went at it for the entire first round, and their battle was shaping up to be a memorable one. Neither man seemed willing to budge. However, while most fans were salivating at the action transpiring inside the Octagon, virtually no one could have anticipated how the fight would end.
With Fisher bleeding around the eyes in round two, the two men clinched and “The King” delivered two sharp knees to the face and chest. He followed with a right hand upstairs, and Wiman stumbled into the cage. Obviously dazed, Wiman made a decision he would live to regret, raised his right hand and pointed upward. He was met with a vicious flying knee, crumbled in a heap and was unable to continue.
UFC 60 proved to be a solid card from top to bottom, but nothing touched the spectacular conclusion to the fight between Fisher and Wiman.
