Heath, 5-0 as a pro in MMA with some additional bouts as an amateur and is also 1-0 in kickboxing, has also done some training Burnett and pro boxer Allan Green. He is the current Freestyle Cage Fighting light heavyweight champion.
MMA CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: Heaths last two bouts have been his most telling. In June he beat Hammer House Cage Fighting veteran and HHCF 2 eight-man tournament winner Rob Wince (Pictures) with strikes. He followed the win by taking out KOTC veteran Sean Salmon (Pictures) by submission at the Fightfest in Texas in July.
UFC EXPERIENCE: Debut.
WHAT HE BRINGS TO THE BOUT: Heath is a striker and will prefer to stand and trade. However he has divulged that he broke his hand four times in his seven bouts. He can work the ground and has won by submission but he prefers to stand and trade.
WALMSLEY: 6, 205 pounds, 32, St. Paul, Minn., also known as Hard Cor
BACKGROUND: Cory Walmsley fights as part of Team Bison and trains with fifth-degree black belt Adam Rachuy, submission specialist Mike Reilly and fighters Kelly Kobold Gavin, Brandon Foxworth and UFC veteran Sam Morgan (Pictures).
Cory also competes in the Impact Pro Wrestling show as "Wicked" Lester Brody. He was the Ultimate Combat Sports heavyweight champion but the promotion stopped holding events in November of 2004. Walmsley is 7-1 as a pro in MMA.
MMA CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: Walmsleys only loss was in his MMA debut. He has competed throughout the state of Minnesota and won his last four bouts by submission. His most significant win was over Adam Parochka.
UFC EXPERIENCE: Debut.
WHAT HE BRINGS TO THE BOUT: Walmsley has a big frame and can strike, but five of his seven pro wins have come by submission. He has not competed in a professional MMA bout since October of 2004.
MY PICK: This one is kind of a tough call due to the fact Heath has a questionable hand and Walmsley hasnt fought in two years. Experience is huge here. Though Walmsley has fought more Heath has been active and given back-to-back solid performances and earned a title in the process.
