Shamoji Fujji vs. Kim Jin O

The much larger Fujji proved to be too big for Korean fighter Kim Jin O. Fujji came out swinging, driving his opponent back into the corner and connecting with some heavy shots. After the ref gave Jin O a yellow card for holding the ropes, the fight was restarted with Fujji resuming the beating he was giving earlier.

Kim looked very sloppy with his strikes, throwing only slapping arm punches that didn’t seem to faze Fujji. Shortly after a flurry, Fujji got a takedown which he used to quickly move from half guard to mount. Rolling to his stomach to avoid any more facial damage, Jin O forgot to protect his neck and was promptly choked to a tap out.

Shamoji Fujji wins via submission (Rear Choke) at 2:58 in Round 1. As Fujji made his exit from the ring, it was apparent by his bruised and swollen right eye that some of Kim’s punches were in fact effective.
