The oldest of the 32 Season 16 hopefuls, South has finished all eight of his opponents, seven of them via submission and another by technical knockout. He has not fought since February, when he dispatched Tim Ruberg with a second-round guillotine choke at a regional show in Utah. South, 34, sports four first-round submissions on his resume.
