The Ultimate Fighter Finale: The Wait is Over
Nate Quarry vs Lodune Sincaid
Apr 6, 2005
Nathan Quarry:
Wrestling/Boxing/Team Quest • 6’0• 185 lbs. • 5-1
Career Against Noteworthy Opponents:
• Andrew McFedries (1-0)
• Gustavo Machado (0-1)
History on Ultimate Fighter: 0-0
Never fought due to injury in training
--------------------------------
Lodune Sincaid: Wrestling/Tae Kwon Do/Hayastan Wrestling Dojo • 5’9 • 185 lbs. • 6-0
Career Against Noteworthy Opponents:
• Jason Miller (1-0)
• Nate Schroeder (1-0)
History on Ultimate Fighter: 0-1
Lost to Bobby Southworth by KO in Episode 3
--------------------------------
The Better Striker: Tough call. Both fighters have a knockout victory on their records. Sincaid showed some ability on the show but he was fighting at light heavyweight then. He should be faster now. Lodune was eliminated at the beginning of the show and Nate was injured early on, so it is tough to know how far either of their skills developed.
The Better Grappler: Again, tough call. Quarry trained with Couture prior to the show and looked good against “Ximu” Machado. Lodune rolls with Gokor and Gene LeBell’s people so it is likely he’s developing solid wrestling skills there.
And The Winner Is: Quarry. With so little to go on this bout could go either way, but my gut says Quarry. Although he showed nothing on TUF (at least from the TV viewer’s perspective), I see him being hungry and doing enough to win a decision.
