MCKEE: 5’8”, 170 pounds, 32 years old, Bellflower, California, known as “Mandingo”

BACKGROUND: McKee is a college wrestling coach, both a national wrestling champion and California state collegiate champion. He has also trained with John Lewis (Pictures) and Andre Pederneiras but currently runs his own fitness center, Body Shop Fitness and fight school called McKee's Body Shop. There he trains JJ Ambrose and Maurice Eazel (Pictures) and has worked out with Quinton Jackson (Pictures) and Jason Miller. He carries a professional record of 16-3-2 in MMA.

WFA EXPERIENCE: Fought to a draw with Jason Black (Pictures) at WFA 1.

WHAT HE BRINGS TO THE BOUT: He has a strong wrestling base and great conditioning. He has trained in jiu-jitsu knows enough about the submission game to stay out of trouble in his MMA career. Some may question his killer instinct. Twelve of his last 13 pro bouts have gone the distance and he hasn’t finished anyone off since January of 2001.

ARREDONDO: 5’9”, 165 pounds, 24 years old, Dallas, Texas

BACKGROUND: Arredondo is a jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai stylist fighting out of Texas with a professional record of 4-6 in MMA.

WFA EXPERIENCE: None.

WHAT HE BRINGS TO THE BOUT: He has a lot of heart. Not many fighters would lose their first four bouts and keep on trying. He went 2-3 in 2005 but put in the work to try and improve his game. He’s 2-2 so far this year but this is the biggest promotion he’s been involved with. Adam also has a good blend of stand-up and ground skills.

OVERALL OPINION OF MATCH: Fair. McKee continues to beat good fighters like Jhun and Kunioku and hopefully the adrenaline rush of being in a new promotion will inspire him to really put on a display. Arredondo has a shot at a huge upset. It is a victory even if he goes the distance with a quality athlete like McKee.
