Thales Leites: I think GSP wins the decision.
Donald Cerrone: GSP by TKO in round two.
Sam Hoger: My buddies Jay “The Closer” Pirott and Jerome “The Fighting Jalapeno” Magana are discussing this, and they say GSP has this fight locked up and he is going to kill Koscheck. I’m a Season 1 vet and hope that Koscheck makes us proud, but I know his hands are extremely full -- like if he had hand grenades with no pins in them. Kos, don’t drop the ball.
Fabio Maldonado: I think GSP is the favorite and wins a decision.
Nam Phan: Please don’t be fooled by the bad guy persona, and don’t believe everything you see on TV. Koscheck is a good guy, and I am rooting for him with his fight in Montreal against the champion. GSP is always a class act and a gentleman, but I think Koscheck can pull off the impossible.Â
Tom Vaughn: This is a great fight to sell out a venue in Canada and buys the UFC time to find someone who may have a real chance of beating GSP. Koscheck gives the Canadians someone to hate, and Kos gets another shot at pulling an upset. I don’t think much has changed since their last fight, but if Kos really wants to win, he needs to fight like there’s no tomorrow. Not going to happen. GSP by unanimous decision.
Eddy Millis: Tough fight to call. I really think it comes down to emotion. Koscheck is really pumped for this rematch and may go into this fight too hyped, which, in turn, may expose him to a brutal GSP counter. GSP will be his usual cool self. With that being said, if Koscheck wins this, it’s gonna be in the first 60 seconds. I’m going with GSP via KO, standing, in round two.
Jason Lambert: GSP by TKO.
Milton Vieira: I think GSP wins by TKO.
Rory Markham: I would never disagree with a Freddie Roach prediction, so I’m going to agree with a second-round KO or TKO. Because Georges’ wrestling has been so good, I believe it has overshadowed how well he can strike. Kos will be overconfident in his stand-up, and he will be out-struck.
Greg Nelson: GSP is the better all-around fighter, and, if [he’s] 100 percent confident, he’ll be hard to beat. Koscheck has some camp momentum behind him. After the big win for Cain [Velasquez], there is most likely a lot of excitement and renewal within the AKA house. That is a big factor. If Koscheck is confident and willing to get into GSP’s face, he could offset GSP. I feel GSP will use his footwork and mastery of range, set up his strikes and/or takedown and win the unanimous decision.
Erik Paulson: Well, we could all see this one brewing. Kos has been at GSP’s throat this entire season trying to get GSP to lose his composure. I personally think that is what he’s trying to do in the fight. When someone loses their composure and fights out of emotion, all rational thinking and gameplan implementation goes completely out of the window and huge mistakes are made; anger burns energy twice as fast. On the other hand, this is what the TV people want: drama, villains and good guys. If GSP can keep his head and utilize his brewing hatred, he will win. Both fighters are closely matched, comparatively, style-wise. I think that Josh put a lot of pressure on himself to back up his actions. I’m taking GSP with my chicken wings, celery and carrot sticks, with lots of Sprite to wash it down.
Jon Jones: GSP by destruction.
Carlos Barreto: It will be a great battle. I always consider GSP the favorite; he is above average. Koscheck has evolved and is also a dangerous fighter, especially standing. I see him risking more and pressing GSP, but I think GSP’s talent and planning in the fight will prevail, and he wins the judges’ decision.
Pat Miletich: Koscheck is a much more experienced fighter and has better striking skills than in his first meeting with GSP. He also knows GSP has been unwilling to win a fight by standing and trading since his loss to Matt Serra. Koscheck will be looking to pressure GSP into attempting takedowns and cause serious problems for the French Canadian. The obstacle for Koscheck is the hometown crowd GSP will enjoy. Quebec hates Koscheck and will make that clear on Saturday night. I do, however, pick Koscheck in the upset win over GSP.
Matt Mitrione: GSP by … Nah, I’m going with Kos by something highly inappropriate.
Josh Thomson: Kos needs to fight a patient and smart fight, so the KO comes on its own. Kos by decision.
Jeff Monson: GSP by decision.
Andre Galvao: Koscheck via TKO.
Juanito Ibarra: GSP by stoppage.
Travis Lutter: I am excited about this fight. The first one was a good fight, with great wrestling involved. I think this will be more of the same. GSP will probably win this one.
Leonardo Santos: I think it will be the toughest fight for GSP, because his wrestling is no longer a surprise to Josh. I think GSP has more talent and more weapons, so I think he wins in the decision.
