Igor Pokrajac vs. Todd Brown
The Matchup: Loser of three of four bouts, Pokrajac is an improbable survivor of the UFC’s elimination game but surely needs a win here. Brown, who dropped a decision to battler Tim Boetsch in his big-show debut at UFC 117 in August, finds himself on the same thin ice.
Pokrajac reminds one of a light heavyweight version of Joey Beltran, except he is not quite as resilient. He is not especially athletic or fluid on the feet, either, but he has proven hard-nosed and tough. Brown will want to get this on the ground, as Pokrajac’s best chance is forcing an exchange and making something happen on the feet.
The Pick: Look for some back-and-forth between the two light heavyweights before Brown takes control and grinds out a close decision.
