Many view Nurmagomedov as the kryptonite to McGregor’s Superman. An unstoppable takedown machine with devastating ground-and-pound and the submission game to match, Nurmagomedov owns a perfect 24-0 record. The 28-year-old Dagestani grappler last competed at UFC 205, where he dismantled Michael Johnson for two-plus rounds before submitting “The Ultimate Fighter 12” finalist with a third-round kimura. Nurmagomedov has his warts, as health -- he missed almost two full years with various injuries -- and failed weight cuts have curtailed some of his momentum. With that said, he seems like a perfect foil for McGregor, who has had issues staying upright against quality wrestlers. In his eight UFC appearances, Nurmagomedov has recorded 39 takedowns.
