2. Corey Hill vs. Dale Hartt
UFC “Fight for the Troops”
Dec. 10, 2008 | Fayetteville, N.C.

Hill earned a shot in the Ultimate Fighting Championship after a stint on “The Ultimate Fighter 5.” After losing to eventual season winner Nate Diaz on the reality show, he made his promotional debut at UFC Fight Night “Swick vs. Burkman” with an impressive technical knockout against Joe Veres.

Tucked into the undercard of an event headlined by Josh Koscheck-Yoshiyuki Yoshida, Hill faced Hartt -- a competitor who would only fight twice more after their encounter at the Crown Coliseum. Hill threw a low kick at Hartt, who checked it in a reactionary move. As a result, Hill fractured both his tibia and fibula but managed to return to the cage nearly two years later. He has fought 10 times since, going 4-6.
