Maurice “Mad Dog” Vachon
One of pro wrestling’s most notorious villains, “Mad Dog” Vachon could deliver some of the fiercest and scariest promos in the history of that business. Unbeknownst to many of the AWA wrestling fans who watched him terrorize their favorites, Vachon had an outstanding amateur wrestling background and competed in the Olympics. His wild, brawling style and devil-may-care attitude was backed by real high-level technique.
The most exciting aspect of Vachon competing in MMA would be the approach he took to the sport. He obviously would dial down the pro wrestling antics, but he still would likely engage in some memorable rivalries and attract new fans to the sport with his unique demeanor. The Montreal native could be the anti-Georges St. Pierre.
