The well-traveled Cooper answers the call to defend his Absolute Championship Berkut welterweight title for the first time when he faces the undefeated Berkhamov. Cooper, 30, has posted back-to-back wins following his 59-second knockout loss to Maiquel Falcao in KSW a little less than two years ago. The Los Angeles native captured the vacant ACB belt on Dec. 18, when he knocked out Aslambek Saidov in the third round. Just 23 years of age, Berkhamov has authored nine finishes -- eight by submission -- on his way to an 11-0 record. His list of victims includes “The Ultimate Fighter 25” winner Jesse Taylor, a man he tamed with an armbar in October.
