The Ultimate Fighter Finale: The Wait is Over
Introduction
Apr 6, 2005
In TV time the “Ultimate Fighter” season ended last week with four
fighters vying for UFC contracts. In reality, that was months ago
and now those four, along with every other fighter in the TUF cast
are hungry for a fight.
That’s right, everybody on the show fights. (Yes, that even includes the guys who were cast off before we knew much about them, Chris Sanford and Jason Thacker.) There will be nine bouts, but it’s likely we’ll only see three and the rest will be packaged as part of the Ultimate Fighter: Season 1 DVD.
The entire event breaks down as follows:
Nate Quarry from Team Quest goes toe-to-toe with Lodune Sincaid of the Hayastan Wrestling Dojo.
Josh Koscheck of American Kickboxing Academy tests Chris Sanford of Cesar Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.
U.S.A. Bozeman Martial Arts Academy fighter Alex Schoenauer meets Mike Swick of American Kickboxing Academy.
Sam Hoger of Miletich Fighting Systems takes on Bobby Southworth of American Kickboxing Academy.
Team Quest fighter Chris Leben challenges Canadian Jason Thacker of Gibson Pankration.
Diego Sanchez of the Jackson Fight Team battles Boston Brazilian jiu-jitsu stylist Kenny Florian for the middleweight UFC contract.
The Hardcore Gym fighter Forrest Griffin combats Stephan Bonnar from the Carlson Gracie Fight Team for the light heavyweight UFC contract.
Lion’s Den leader Ken Shamrock faces Rich Franklin from Meat Truck Inc in a special main event.
