Soriano, a Providence, Rhode Island, native, will enter the bout on a two-fight win streak.
“Rhode Island is my home, and I want to be the king of my home,” Soriano said. “Winning this belt puts me there. CES is one of the best promotions out there. It would be an honor to wear that belt around my waist.”
Accross the cage will be Maine's own Boyington, regarded as one of the state's toughest and most exciting fighters. Boyington fought under the World Series of Fighting banner, where he went 2-1, with victories over Saul Almeida and Rodrigo Almeida, as well as a loss at the hands of undefeated featherweight Andre Harrison.
“I'm excited to show everyone what I'm capable of, especially against a well-respected UFC vet like Sean Soriano,” said Boyington. “And I'm extremely appreciative to CES for this opportunity.”
