UFC 132 “Cruz vs. Faber 2” on July 2 earned a live gate of $2,304,500, the Nevada State Athletic Commission announced on Friday.

Headlined by a bantamweight title clash between Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber, UFC 132 emanated from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Cruz retained his title in a back-and-forth, five-round affair, outpointing Faber en route to a unanimous nod from the judges.

The event was attended by a total of 13,109 spectators. Of the total attendees, 8,103 of them paid to view the event, while another 5,006 gained admission with comped tickets. There were 787 tickets that were neither sold nor comped by the UFC.

Aside from showcasing the promotion’s inaugural bantamweight title tilt, UFC 132 also featured a brief but exciting co-headlining middleweight scrap between Chris Leben and Wanderlei Silva. The American turned out Silva’s lights in just 27 seconds, clipping the charging “Axe Murderer” with a forceful hook before pounding out his face-down foe with brutal left hands to the skull.
