Trainer Mike Winkeljohn Has Kickboxing Belt Stolen from Albuquerque Home

Renowned trainer Mike Winkeljohn is missing one of his kickboxing championship belts after it was stolen from his Albuquerque, N.M., home, according to a report from the Albuquerque Journal.

Now the head striking coach at Jackson-Wink MMA, Winkeljohn was a decorated professional kickboxer who amassed a 25-7-2 professional record while capturing two International Sport Karate Association championships and one muay Thai world title.

The missing belt, according to Winkeljohn’s personal Facebook page, is an ISKA title. Winkeljohn is offering a reward for the return of the belt.

“It’s super important to him,” Albuquerque Police Department spokesman Simon Drobik told the Journal.

Winkeljohn, along with Greg Jackson and a number of other coaches, helps to train a stable of the MMA’s top talents, including longtime kickboxing student Holly Holm, who recently captured the women’s bantamweight crown with a second-round knockout of Ronda Rousey at UFC 193.
