Testosterone replacement therapy has become the controversial topic in mixed martial arts over the last year, and a rejuvenated Vitor Belfort now finds himself at the center of it.

Belfort wiped out former Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold with a spinning heel kick and follow-up punches in the UFC on FX 8 main event on May 18 at the Arena Jaragua in Jaragua do Sul, Brazil. The 36-year-old Brazilian, who arrived in the Ultimate Fighting Championship as a teenager back in 1997, has won nine of his last 11 bouts, losing only to middleweight titleholder Anderson Silva and light heavyweight boss Jon Jones.

The spectacular victory over Rockhold appears to have once again cemented Belfort as the No. 1 contender at 185 pounds. Still, his decision to utilize TRT continues to dog him.
