This Month’s MMA Birthdays: Ronda Rousey Turns 28

Perhaps no MMA star burns brighter than hers.

Ultimate Fighting Championship women’s bantamweight titleholder Ronda Rousey celebrated her 28th birthday on Feb. 1, less than a month before her next scheduled defense of the 135-pound crown. The Glendale Fighting Club representative returns to the Octagon in the UFC 184 headliner on Feb. 28 in Los Angles, where she will face the undefeated Cat Zingano at the Staples Center.

Rousey, an Olympic bronze medalist in judo, has finished all 10 of her fights since entering the MMA arena in March 2011, nine of them inside one round. She last appeared at UFC 175 in July, when she wiped out Alexis Davis with punches in just 16 seconds at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.
