On Sept. 18, 2010, M-1 Global held two events on the same day. The first event, which was M-1 Selection 2010: The American Finals, was held in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The card saw Tom Gallicchio submit Len Bentley in the first round while Luigi Fioravanti TKO’d Woody Weatherby and Bristol Marunde beat Shane Primm by decision.
M-1’s other event was M-1 Selection Ukraine 2010: Clash of the Titans, which saw Ultimate Fighting Championship veteran Alexey Oleynik submit Jessie Gibbs with his patented Ezekiel choke. Also on the card was Mikhail Zayats, who submitted David Haagsma via armbar.
