Rory MacDonald was on point.
The Tristar Gym representative overwhelmed and ultimately walked through Tyron Woodley, notching a unanimous decision in the UFC 174 co-main event on Saturday at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. MacDonald bottled up the two-time NCAA All-American wrestler with a stinging jab, straight punching combinations and a variety of kicks, as he made his case for a shot at the Ultimate Fighting Championship welterweight crown currently held by Johny Hendricks.
Often compared to teammate Georges St. Pierre, MacDonald has won seven times in eight appearances, losing only to former EliteXC titleholder Robbie Lawler.
