Jon Jones' impressive reign atop the light heavyweight division continued at UFC 172, as he dominated Glover Teixeira for five rounds at the Baltimore Arena on Saturday night. The Jackson-Wink MMA product relied on a versatile standup attack and brutal clinch work to capture a unanimous decision and end Teixeira’s 20-fight unbeaten streak.

The victory likely sets up a highly anticipated rematch between Jones and Alexander Gustafsson later in 2014. While Gustafsson has already proven himself to be the most difficult challenge of Jones’ career, another 205-pound contender emerged in Saturday’s co-main event when Anthony Johnson bullied former NCAA All-American wrestler Phil Davis for three rounds. A welterweight for the majority of his first UFC run, “Rumble” appears to have found a happy home at light heavyweight.
