SRN Rewind: Ronda Rousey

People couldn’t understand Ronda Rousey when she was a kid. She had a speech impediment that badly garbled her words, and judo became her prime avenue of expression.

Under the tutelage of her mother, herself an elite and cerebral judoka, Rousey reached an Olympic medal, the first American judoka to do so. She then entered a sort of limbo, living nomadic across North America and stringing together a living from odd jobs, graveyard shifts and training.

Now on the precipice of an anticipated Strikeforce main event against champion Miesha Tate on March 3, Rousey draws connections between the various stages of her fascinating life in the latest edition of “The Sunday Sitdown.”

Join host Jack Encarnacao for this interview and much more, Sunday night at 9 p.m. ET on the Sherdog Radio Network “Rewind.”
