According to MMAWeekly, super-heavyweight circuit fighter Ross Clifton
died of a heart attack at age 32 on Thursday evening.
A target of derision for his loss to Ken Shamrock earlier in the year, Clifton was an oversized 380 pounds with an uneven-at-best 6-10 record.
What can you say? The weight will be a source of amusement for some, and Clifton wasn’t destined to win any titles, but he leaves behind family and friends who knew and saw something and someone else. There’s more to a life than fight footage. And if not, saying you had a go at Ken Shamrock, a guy he perhaps grew up idolizing, isn’t such a bad shake. It’s more than most of us get done.
