Riddle comes fresh off a valiant but futile performance against Sean Pierson at UFC 124 in December. In a war deserving of “Fight of the Night” honors, Riddle absorbed massive amounts of punishment and continued to move forward. Despite eating Pierson’s jab for the duration of the bout and generally coming out on the losing end of the standing exchanges, Riddle fought to the bitter end. Following a stint on “The Ultimate Fighter 7,” the 25-year-old has fought the entirety of his professional career in the Octagon. He holds a 5-2 record in UFC competition and has only been finished once.
After winning four of his first five bouts in the UFC, Brown has fallen on hard times as of late. “The Immortal” has dropped three straight contests in the Octagon, submitting to Ricardo Almeida, Chris Lytle and Brian Foster. Brown holds all 11 of his career victories by either knockout or submission and has never been KO’d. A brown belt in judo, the AMC Pankration product was a competitor on “The Ultimate Fighter 7,” losing in the quarter-finals to eventual winner Amir Sadollah.
The event will also feature an intriguing middleweight duel, as C.B. Dollaway looks to avenge teammate Aaron Simpson’s loss to Mark Munoz. Additionally, former WEC bantamweight champion Brian Bowles will square off with Jackson’s Mixed Martial Arts product Damacio Page.
