Michael Hunter vs. Jason Douglas

Round 1

Hunter runs out of his corner and immediately goes to work. Douglas is passive, covering up from the onslaught. Hunter is all over him early but nothing hard has landed yet. Hunter backs off a little but sticks his jab to Douglas’ body and head. Douglas continues to back away in a defensive shell, allowing Hunter to do whatever he wants without fear of retaliation. Hunter lands a few decent lefts to the body and then a right upstairs. Nice right followed by a left/right to the body and then left hook to the head to close out the round by Hunter. 10-9 Hunter.

Round 2

A second lead right by Hunter staggers Douglas immediately. Douglas covers up and clears his head. Hunter goes back to the jab. A double 1-2 by Hunter, followed by a R2 A second lead right by Hunter staggers Douglas immediately. Douglas covers up and clears his head. Hunter goes back to the jab. A double 1-2 by Hunter, followed by a left hook to the ribs. Douglas pops off a double jab but his eyes are both puffy at the midway point. Douglas takes another vicious left hook to the body. Douglas is rocked by a right hook, allowing Hunter to continue his assault. Nice jab by Hunter late. Lead right to the head rocks Douglas at the eight-second mark and then another right sends the Canadian to his gloves and knees. He’s up and shaken, but he’s saved by the bell. 10-8 Hunter.

Round 3

Uppercut to the body by Hunter as soon as the round begins. Douglas tags him and suddenly Hunter is pawing at his right eye. Not sure if it was a thumb but it’s bothering Hunter big time. Douglas has a pulse now as he opens up his attack. A left hook but Douglas but Hunter takes it. Another. Hunter comes back with a right cross and then a jab. Loopy overhand right by Douglas is blocked at the midway point. Hunter backs off, looking winded already. Hunter sticks out a few jabs and Douglas has stopped throwing a bit. Hard right to the body Douglas but Hunter counters with a short flurry to the head. Douglas goes down and he’s ruled down, though it looks like he was pushed. 10-8 Hunter.

Round 4

Hunter slowly comes out and established the jab. A couple of good body shots follow and then a short left hook to the face. Douglas is down again but he beats the count. Douglas is in trouble but he lands a hard left hook. Hunter walks through it and goes to the head and body. Douglas fires some slow, plodding shots to the body. Double jab/right to the face by Hunter. Another right to the head wobbles Douglas with a minute left. Hunter throws a flurry but Douglas stays afloat for now. Hard left to the body and then a flurry by Hunter. Douglas smartly takes a knee along the ropes. Douglas is up again but he’s ready to go and again he’s saved by the bell. Douglas is exhausted and hurt as he goes to the wrong corner. 10-7 Hunter.

In between rounds, the ringside doctor tells referee Jack Reiss that he has seen enough. The veteran third man waives it off, giving Hunter another stoppage win.

Ahmed Elbiali vs. Mariano Hilario

Round 1

Elbiali comes right out with his jab, coming after Hilario aggressively. Hilario ties him up when he gets close. Hard right to the head, left hook to the body by Elbiali. Elbiali throws a sinister combo to the head by the very defensive Hilario covers up. Hilario ties him up again. Huge left hook to the ribcage by Elbiali and it hurts Hilario. Elbiali presses him into the ropes and swings wildly to the head, but he misses. Nice right to the head by Hilario near the bell. 10-9 Elbiali.

Round 2

Right to the ear, followed by a left/right to the body for Elbiali. Hilario comes back with a right upstairs, but the Egyptian continues to plunder his foe’s body. Elbiali continues to swing away, but Hilario is extremely defensive. Elbiali simply walks down his foe like Jason Voorhees, but he’s not landing any of his bombs upstairs. Elbiali has completely eliminated all facets of his defense as he is in complete Terminator mode. Hilario is a crafty, though, and avoiding most of the onslaught. 10-9 Elbiali.

Round 3

Hilario tags him with a few decent shots to the head early. Elbiali is okay but he is nailed by a huge right to the jaw. He stops momentarily but he quickly recovers. Elbiali comes right at Hilario in return but he’s tagged again. Elbiali walks right through it and swings away. A few decent exchanges at the midway point and Elbiali is starting to gasp for air. Nice left hook, followed by a left uppercut by Elbiali but Hilario withstands them both. Another decent exchange before Hilario backs off. It’s still all Elbiali, but he’s starting to slow down quite a bit late and he looks frustrated at the bell. 10-9 Elbiali.

Round 4

Stiff jab by Hilario opens the frame as Elbiali walks straight into it. Elbiali wings a few hooks and is countered by a crisp combo to the face. Hilario smiles at the young buck as they trade briefly in the center of the ring. Elbiali digs a series of uppercuts to the body before getting tied up. Hilario takes a left to the body and continues to tie up. Hilario misses a wild right/left but Elbiali is in no position to counter him. Both men are becoming worn out late as they clinch to clinch and fight on the inside. Good combo by Elbiali late and Hilario stumbles onto the canvas with Elbiali underneath him. 10-9 Elbiali.

Round 5

Elbiali swarms his opponent immediately, which leads to a wild exchange along the ropes. Hilario is okay but he grabs on a few times early. Lead right by Elbiali lands, but Hilario is unfazed. Hilario stumbles onto his gloves after an ugly clinch battle. It’s ruled a slip, of course. Elbiali is still coming right at his foe, swinging for the fences but almost nothing is landing. Hilario is warned by Pat Russell late in the round that he’ll take a point if he continues to hold. 10-9 Elbiali.

Round 6

Hilario lands a couple of jabs as Elbiali comes right in without any defense. Elbiali continues to follow Hilario around, but he keeps smothering his own punches. Hilario grabs on again and again. Finally, Russell takes a point away from Hilario. They trade some moderate leather with 70 seconds left but Elbiali gets the better of the two. A couple of jabs late by Hilario snap Elbiali’s head back. 10-8 Elbiali.

Round 7

Hilario clinches as soon as he is clipped by a left upstairs. They continue to clinch and maul on the inside. Elbiali digs a few shots to the midsection. After another clinch, Elbiali goes back to the body. A decent combo upstairs and down by Elbiali is clean, forcing Hilario to retreat across the ring. Hard left hook rocks Hilario late and he is wobbly. Elbiali closes the gap, looking for the knockout. Hilario ties him up and then dishes out a nice right to the head. He survives the round. 10-9 Elbiali.

Round 8

Elbiali digs a right to the gut as soon as the stanza starts. Hilario clearly needs a knockout in order to win this thing, but he is always tying Elbiali up when he gets close. Hard right to the body and then a left to the head and body by Elbiali. Elbiali cracks him with an overhand right, forcing Hilario to tie him up. A short left rocks Hilario at the midway point, but Elbiali can’t put him away. Hilario grabs on a few more times. Elbiali chases after him but Hilario is on his bike. A few decent shots by Elbiali land just before the bell. 10-9 Elbiali (80-71 Elbiali).

Gerald Washington vs. Amir Mansour

Round 1

Kenny Bayless is the referee this heavyweight main event. They come right out at each other, throwing bombs. Washington sticks several jabs out to keep the much shorter Mansour at bay. Mansour tries to get inside like a wolverine but he’s tagged by a right cross. Washington keeps jabbing. Mansour missed wild right hook to the body and almost falls onto his face. They slow down quite a bit at the midway point. Loopy overhand left by Mansour clips Washington, but it’s not impactful. Washington has become passive late as he backs up and away from Mansour. Very close round. 10-9 Washington.

Round 2

A few jabs from Washington keep Mansour away before popping him with a lead right. Mansour is having terrible difficulty on getting inside. The action has reached almost a snail’s pace at the halfway point of the round. Mansour misses a wild right hook to the head. Washington lands a several more jabs as Mansour misses a pair of wild hooks from way outside. Washington begins talking trash as Mansour continues to miss almost everything he launches. 10-9 Washington.

Round 3

Nice lead right by Washington early in the frame. Mansour finally gets inside and clubs away at the body but Washington eventually sneaks out to his right. Washington continues to stay safe on the outside with his jab, controlling the pace easily. Lead right by Washington as Mansour misses a lunging left by a foot. Mansour is bleeding from around his left ear with a minute left. Washington continues to paw with the jab late and talking trash. 10-9 Washington.

Round 4

Mansour misses a few wild hooks early. More jabs by Washington, keeping the fight going at a workmanlike pace. Washington remains on the outside safely behind the jab. Mansour can’t get inside but he does land a sweeping right near the end of the round. 10-9 Washington.

Round 5

Mansour misses a few wild hooks early. More jabs by Washington, keeping the fight going at a workmanlike pace. Washington remains on the outside safely behind the jab. Mansour can’t get inside but he does land a sweeping right near the end of the round. 10-9 Washington.

Round 6

There is some swelling underneath Mansour’s eye early. Some more jabs by Washington, who continues to control the pace and distance. Hard lead right by Washington, but Mansour comes back with one of his own. Mansour gets inside a few times late and does some damage to the body. Washington slows down near the bell and gets clocked by a right hook. Close round. 10-9 Mansour.

Round 7

Washington is looking fatigued as his jab is getting weaker. Mansour is getting inside more frequently and the control of the duel is slowly turning in Mansour’s favor. Right cross by Washington, but it’s weak. Mansour gets inside and digs to the body. Double left to the body by Mansour after eating a right. Mansour storms the castle with a pair of lefts to the body and then one to the head. Washington hasn’t thrown much of anything for the last minute. Mansour is closing the distance more and more, landing to the body almost exclusively. Big left hook by Mansour late but Washington shakes it off. Washington totally on his bike at the bell. It’s all Mansour now. 10-9 Mansour.

Round 8

Hard lead right by Washington early, but Mansour gets inside and pops him with a right to the head. Another right hook by Mansour lands before digging to the body. Mansour jabs to the body a few times underneath a few pawing jabs from Washington. Washington backs off, looking like he’s gassing out a little. Mansour continues to be uber aggressive as he pounds away at the larger man’s body. Washington ties him up with a minute left. Again. He looks exhausted. Huge left hook by Mansour misses. Mansour has a wild overhand right blocked but he follows it up with a few more shots downstairs. 10-9 Mansour.

Round 9

Washington paws a few weak jabs out, allowing Mansour to get inside and dig to the body. Lead left to the mouth by Mansour. Mansour dives in with a right/left to the midsection a minute in. Sweeping left hook by Mansour just barely clips Washington’s chin. Mansour comes right back with a right to the body. Washington shoves him off but doesn’t throw any punches. Washington stays away but he can’t even throw any jabs because of exhaustion. He ties the smaller man up with 35 seconds left. Mansour chases after him and pops him with two rights to the head. Decent exchange just before the bell. 10-9 Mansour.

Round 10

Mansour is ahead on Sherdog’s card going into the final round; who knows how the official judges have it scored. Mansour’s corner yells at him that he needs to take this round. Washington charges right after him and digs a right to the body. Washington paws a few jabs out to try and keep Mansour off. As soon as Mansour gets close, Washington ties him up. Double shot to the body and then a left hook upstairs by Mansour. Washington is on his bike, jogging away; Mansour chases after him. They trade jabs before Mansour goes to the gut twice. With 45 seconds left, the fight is up for grabs. Hard right cross by Washington, but Mansour storms back with a right of his own. Washington runs away with a few seconds left and raises his left glove, but Mansour charges at him and digs another flurry to the body just as the bell sounds. 10-9 Mansour (96-94 Mansour).
