Mayweather Promotions announced that two of its best fighters have been assigned to co-headline the undercard of the massive Showtime Championship Boxing event on April 30 from the DC Armory in the nation’s capital.
Also in a middleweight 10-rounder, Sharif Bogere (27-1, 19 KOs) aims to build upon his current four-fight winning streak when he battles Samuel Amoako (21-9, 15 KOs). Bogere has already conquered such foes as Raymundo Beltran, Francisco Contreras and Manuel. Bogere is a native of Uganda while Amoako is originally from Ghana.
The event is headlined by the WBC super middleweight championship between titlist Badou Jack and Lucian Bute. The co-featured contest will see IBF 168-pound champion James DeGale defending his crown against Rogelio Medina.
Showtime will televise the action live beginning at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.
