Thankfully for all parties involved, all the fighters on the main card were able to make weight, thus allowing the card to proceed as planned.
Philadelphia’s Scott (37-2-1, 13 KOs) hit the stage and weighed in at a cool 235 pounds. Following his lead, D.C.-based Thompson was a bit heavier, coming in at 263 pounds.
The co-main event pits junior welterweight Lydell Rhodes (23-0-1, 11 KOs) against Sergey Lipinets (7-0, 6 KOs). Both men came in under the 140-pound limit; Rhodes, from Las Vegas, clocked in at 138.8 pounds while his Kazakhstani opponent tipped the scale a pound heavier.
