Nate Wilcox Joins Press Row

Every Wednesday, Administrative Editor Jordan Breen welcomes a member of the mixed martial arts media into “Press Row” on the Sherdog.com blog. This week, Breen is joined by Nate Wilcox, founding editor of BloodyElbow.com.

Ahead of arguably the UFC's biggest card of 2014, Breen and Wilcox take stock of UFC 181, more particularly looking at the potential futures of the four championship participants: Johny Hendricks, Robbie Lawler, Anthony Pettis and Gilbert Melendez. The duo size up why a Hendricks-Lawler rematch is likely to deliver action again, the importance of staying healthy for the Melendez-Thomson winner and whether or not the fighters that leave Las Vegas as champions can emerge as bonafide pay-per-view sellers for the UFC.

Breen and Wilcox also discuss misconceptions about the UFC “building” stars, the slow ignition of Anderson Silva's MMA stardom, where the winner of Melendez-Pettis stacks up next to all-time lightweight greats such as B.J. Penn and Takanori Gomi and much, much more.

Grab your credential and get a seat in “Press Row.”
