“I’ve got a lot of respect for Miguel Torres. He’s a legend. I remember when I was in Brazil training, I was like 12, 13 years old, and I saw the biggest Brazilian magazine, Tatame. … Carlson Gracie brought Miguel to Brazil, and [in the magazine] he challenged any fighter in the 135 division. I saw that and thought [if] I could be older, but I was 13 years old. I couldn’t fight him at that time.”
