Josh Thomson, on “The Savage Dog Show,” discussing teammate Josh Koscheck’s exit from American Kickboxing Academy:
“He’s got two gyms down in Fresno. He loves being down there in Fresno. He doesn’t like making the drive up to San Jose. It does get taxing. It’s a two-, two-and-a-half-hour drive. He’s doing it all the time and it gets tiring. … As far as his issues with [trainer Javier Mendez], we talked about it as a team and those are between them. The team doesn’t really know the circumstances. We truly try not to get involved in it all. We’ve all decided that in talking about the situation with Koscheck, he’s always more than welcome back. The door swings both ways. It goes out and it comes back in. It doesn’t matter. He’ll walk back in, and none of us will have missed a beat. Nothing will have been said in a negative light on him. To us, he is family. The gym is family. I can’t say anything negative about the kid.”
